One FREE Extra Day of Time – (Email Best Practices)
Just think about all the time spent getting a “thx” email and how that adds up over the course of a year.
- The sender spends time deciding if they need to compose it.
- The receiver needs to open it.
- The receiver probably re-reads the sent message to see what their being thanked for.
- Then the receiver must decide what to do with it.
- The message “thx” can now be archived, deleted, or responded to with something like, “your welcome”?
Tallied at one minute, times 500 emails (probably more) a year and you’ve got a full day of time saved (8.3 hrs). One free day per year. With time being our most precious commodity, this is worth far more than your hourly pay scale.
Are you a business owner?
Now multiply by 8 employees and thats 66.4 labor hours saved, (probably well over $1000 in increased production). By simply having everyone in your organization add EOM at the end of their subject lines or emails you’ve increased your bottom line. Have your employees let the receiver know that the sender doesn’t expect a response.
